imageThe last couple months I was spending most of my time in my favorite Element, Water. My life was mostly Swimming and School. I had practice six days a week for mostly two hours! Working out everyday for two hours was fun but also really hard! My Coach Mrs. Culp was probably the best Coach I could wish for. She was really supportive but also knew how to push us! The School swim team was not really big, which is normal because our School is pretty small. The positive affect of having a small team was, that we all were like a family and got really close to each other. This was definitely one of the parts that I enjoyed the most.
My favorite part of swimming were definitely not the practices it were the swim meets. The events I was swimming were mostly the 200 and 100 free. I also swam the 100 back a couple times. I also was a part of a couple relays, which is a team event where a group of four people swim after each other.
Over the month I really improved my swimming and had a couple meets were I got to break my personal records which was an amazing feeling. The Season was ended with our Senior night and the following Sectionals. Which is the final big contest between the different Schools in my district. Our senior night was probably one of my favorite meets we had. All the seniors were walking down next to the pool were they met their parents together with them they received a present from the swim team. While this process our assistant coach was announcing our future plans, our other School activities, our message to our parents and our favorite team memory. Hearing these things made it really emotional. After that we were competing against the other School, which was a lot of fun. Over all we finished the night of with a pasta party.
Looking back to my Swimming season it was a time that I really enjoyed but also a time that was really hard for my body and my nerves sometimes. Now I am ready to start something new what is going to be Softball. I am really excited for the Season, because it is going to be something entirely new but also something challenging.
